Toro Rosso sale

Ital­ian-based For­mula One team Scud­e­ria Toro Rosso is for sale. The team’s own­ers, ex-driver Ger­hard Berger and the Red Bull en­ergy drink com­pany, have an­nounced they are look­ing for a buyer by 2010. The deal comes be­cause F1 rules will not per­mit them to rely on Red Bull Rac­ing for as­sis­tance.

Ambrose strug­gles

Mar­cos Ambrose’s Nascar Na­tion­wide Se­ries cam­paign hit trou­ble again at Nashville. He strug­gled with his car through­out the 225-lap race and fin­ished 23rd, but still moved up to 16th in the stand­ings.

Two-wheeled Schu

He may have re­tired from F1 but Michael Schu­macher hasn’t quit rac­ing. The sev­en­time world cham­pion fin­ished third last week in a mo­tor­cy­cle race in Hun­gary.

Rock­star’s new hit

Rock­star en­ergy drink has swapped V8 Su­per­cars for Su­per­cross. The US brand has an­nounced it will spon­sor the Yamaha-backed Craig Dack Rac­ing team in this year’s Aus­tralian Su­per­cross and Mo­tocross se­ries.
