Ute a good sport

WITH utes be­com­ing more sportscar and less work­horse, it’s ap­pro­pri­ate Ford is adding dy­namic sta­bil­ity con­trol to its two-door range.

From Septem­ber, FG Utes per­for­mance mod­els (top) will be avail­able with DSC.

It will be stan­dard on all mod­els with sports sus­pen­sion — XR6, XR6 Turbo and XR8.

It will also be op­tional on the one-tonne and three-quar­ter tonne mod­els from De­cem­ber.

The DSC sys­tem in­cor­po­rates trac­tion con­trol, anti-skid brakes, elec­tronic brake­force dis­tri­bu­tion and emer­gency brake as­sist.

The DSC sys­tem will add $500 to the price of the per­for­mance mod­els and be op­tional on the work­horses.
