Harley and pros

KEVIN Magee has never throttled back on his exuberance, so the former 500cc world championship racer was an obvious choice for HarleyDavidson’s ‘‘Rev Up Your Wild Side’’ photo shoot.

Magee was known as the Horsham Hurricane in his racing days and remains flat out today as a motorcycle commentator for Foxtel. He is the only rider to have won a race in three world championship classes in the same year.

He and a host of our top sports stars, including NRL stars Craig Wing and Willie Mason, Hockeyroo Nikki Hudson, V8 Supercar driver James Courtney and Wallabies captain Stirling Mortlock, have all taken to Harleys as a good cause.

The resulting collection of stylised black and white images will be auctioned later this year to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

‘‘The world over, Harley-Davidson has come to epitomise free spirit and individualism,’’ Harley-Davidson Australia marketing manager Adrian O’Donoughue says.
