IT FEELS AWESOME
IHAVE known Brad and Kim Jones for 10 years so they could smell my fear straight away. I didn’t want to fence their half-million-dollar race car and they didn’t mind telling me the consequences if I did.
Stirrers! On the few occasions I’ve been lucky enough to drive a Supercar I instantly realise how good the front-running blokes are.
To say it’s not easy is an understatement. There are rare moments when you flat shift correctly or you pluck up enough courage to bury the throttle to the floor and unleash all that horsepower. That’s an awesome feeling . . . something I will never forget.
But to do it all in sequence with finesse and to be good enough (brave enough) to drive the car at its limit requires a level of skill I can only dream of.
