Bike importer confident
The Australian importer of MV Agusta and Husqvarna faces an uncertain future after the companies were bought by BMW and Harley-Davidson respectively. Paul Feeney Group managing director Paul Feeney says he is confident he will retain importer status. ‘‘We’re very safe with BMW,’’ he said last week at the launch of the Husqvarna range on the Gold Coast. ‘‘We have a long-term contract with them and there is no grey area. HarleyDavidson has made the same agreement, but I haven’t met them yet to confirm it.’’ The ’09 Husqvarna range includes two new enduro models, the two-stroke WR 300 at $11,095 and the four-stroke TE 310 $12,195.
