Hyundai Getz smart
A smaller size and quality are the keys to success, writesGRAHAMSMITH
HYUNDAI scored a direct hit with its Getz baby car. The timing was perfect because the market was downsizing in a big way. In no time at all the Getz was challenging for the baby car lead.
It’s still early days for the updated Getz. The earliest ones would only have 50,000km on them, but they seem to be going well.
The things to check for are crash damage and a lack of servicing. stability control, traction control and side airbags, but to have them you had to buy the option pack. A FUEL miser, the Getz will get 6-7 litres for 100km around town use and do a little better on the open road.
Reliable: the Hyundai Getz is a fuel miser and good value for money, but isn’t an excitement machine.
