Grab a giveaway for Father’s Day

CLEARING my in-tray this week produced some hidden gems, as well as some worthwhile giveaways for carsGuide readers.

For a start, the best book on the late Peter Brock is now into softcover publication with a more affordable price tag. Look for How Good is This by Wayne Webster this month, with a Father’s Dayfriendly price of $35.

Another book worth having is Signspotting 3, one of the funniest motoring-related books I’ve seen in a long time.

It’s just a collection of signs with captions, but the pictures are crazy good and most captions are worthy of a belly laugh.

Copies of Signspotting 3 are great value at $16.95 and I have two spare copies to give away.

I also have five giveaway copies of a new DVD celebrating the 60th birthday of Holden.

It’s an extension of the TV program made last year, and comes with extras including a segment on the Efijy concept car and original 48-215 at GM’s US proving ground at Milford.

The DVD costs $29.95 and is available from most video retailers.

If you want one of the books or DVDs, tell me why you deserve an early Father’s Day gift. Email to carsguide@heraldsun.com.au
