THE Rolls-Royce Phantom, is about to get a rival. Bugatti is aiming for the British luxury brand with a new car called the Bordeaux.
It will be the second car in the Bugatti range, joining the Veyron.
The Bordeaux, named after a French town and red wine, is a full four-door luxury machine. It’s likely to have the Veyron’s mechanical package, including its quad-turbo, 8-litre W16 engine and all-wheel-drive system, but will be larger and more luxurious.
The car will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The artists at Carparazzi have already been busy. They see a car with a nose similar to the Veyron 400km/h supercar.
It has the same rounded body shape, but more space in the back seat and boot.
Bugatti’s invitations to a preview show four exhaust pipes on each side, horseshoe-shaped tail lights, a vertical brake light and a split rear window.
