Off to Tassie
SOME of Australia’s most scenic roads are in Tasmania, and that’s where the 2010 BMW TourenSport Safari will be held from February 28-March 6.
Riders will average 325km a day for six days, and cover sections of the famed Targa Tasmania route.
Starting and ending in Devonport, the route will take in some of the state’s natural wonders, such as Cradle Mountain, legendary Elephant Pass, the Tahune Airwalk and Port Arthur.
About 300 riders are expected on the safari. Spots are filling fast, so contact BMW sooner rather than later on www.bmwsafari.com or ph: (02) 9552 3600.
BMW Safaris has been operating for 15 years in the dedicated off-road GS and bitumen-based TS modes.
And you won’t have to miss the World Superbike Round at Phillip Island on February 27-28. Safari members are booked on the ferry leaving Melbourne late on the Sunday for Devonport.
