TRUCK­MAK­ERS MAN, Sca­nia and Volk­swa­gen are set to work to­gether to bet­ter com­pete against Daim­ler and Volvo. MAN chief Ge­org Pachta-Rey­hofen says: ‘‘MAN, Volk­swa­gen and Sca­nia agree that a more in­ten­sive tech­ni­cal co-op­er­a­tion be­tween the com­pa­nies of­fers ad­van­tages for all part­ners.’’ This means we can ex­pect to see truck technology shared be­tween the brands much like Volk­swa­gen car technology is shared be­tween VW, Skoda and Audi.
