Hit pick of the picnic kits

THE ultimate picnic kit is now available to Rolls-Royce owners — for $32,000.

It’s a four-person pack designed to fit into the boot of a Phantom limousine, in the spot often taken by a set of $50,000 custom luggage.

The mahogany kit includes glasses, plates and cutlery. One set has already been delivered to an Australian home, though Rolls-Royce won’t say who.

It says the picnic set is one of 100 new developments in the past 18 months at its Bespoke division. This is the custom-design department that meets the requests of some of the world’s wealthiest people — from inlaid wood signatures and $8000 water bottleholders to entire customised interiors.

Last year 75 per cent of all Phantoms built included something from Bespoke, with Middle East customers dominating.
