THE Australian Trucking Association is awaiting answers from political parties on several key issues affecting the industry.
The ATA sent 20 questions to the Liberals, the Nationals, Labor and the Greens covering topics such as truck stops, regulation, safety and better roads. The details will be posted online today.
ATA chief executive Stuart St Clair says: ‘‘By posing our questions to the parties, we are giving people in the industry the facts about what is being promised.
‘‘They will then be able to make up their own minds for the federal election on August 21 on which party offers the best deal for their business, their jobs and their livelihood.’’
