MITSUBISHI Fuso will introduce a dual-clutch automatic transmission to its trucks.
The six-speed version of the hi-tech gearbox will be known as Duonic.
It is similar to the system now available in Porsches, BMWs, Volkswagens and the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart and EVO.
Duonic uses two clutches to ensure gearshifts are made quickly by preselecting the next gear so it’s ready as soon as the driver decides to change cogs.
Duonic can be used as a clutchless manual or left in automatic.
Mitsubishi Fuso says it has introduced a creep function to allow easy low-speed movement.
