Bigger B-doubles

Herald Sun - Motoring - - Big Wheels -

KALARI has started running larger B-double trucks as part of a trial in Victoria. They are called High Productivity Freight Vehicles and can carry 30 per cent more than a regular B-double. The trial is part of a plan to improve efficiency and reduce the amount of trucks on Victorian and South Australian roads. The triangle covers the hub of timber, mineral sands, dairy and seafood industries in Hamilton, Warrnambool, Horsham, Mount Gambier, Portland, Naracoorte, Millicent and Penola and is aimed at assisting exports.
