10,000 stuck trucks

IF YOU reckon Aus­tralian traf­fic is bad, just be thank­ful you’re not driv­ing in China. News re­ports re­veal thou­sands of coal trucks were backed up for sev­eral kilo­me­tres on the Bei­jing-Ti­bet High­way ear­lier this month. Yes, you read that right, thou­sands of coal trucks. This is the lat­est in a se­ries of enor­mous traf­fic jams that have plagued the route since con­struc­tion be­gan ear­lier this year on a new high­way that runs along­side it. It’s es­ti­mated about 10,000 trucks were stuck in the snarl.
