Russell will be employed to improve car reliability and make the Commodores of Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes easier and quicker to service and set up between race events. Team principal Roland Dane says the appointment would also allow Russell and chief engineer Ludo Lacroix to pursue other revenue opportunities for Triple Eight Race Engineering, the company behind TeamVodafone.
