Renault’s traffic flow
THE days of Renault models arriving in Australia halfway through their model life are in the past, according to new boss Justin Hocevar.
‘‘Hopefully the speed to market will improve with new factories,’’ he says.
If that means we start getting Renaults from India, Hocevar sees no problem. However, he says if Australia gets the next-generation Clio it will come from Europe.
Renault this month launches a new product assault with the Megane Hatch, Coupe-Cabriolet and RS250, Fluence sedan and phase-three Trafic hitting the showroom floors.
They will be followed early next year by the new Latitude mid-sized sedan, which is slightly larger than the Laguna it replaces — yet slightly cheaper. There will also be limited edition models.
