Train­ing for rid­ers

A rise in the road toll among mo­tor­cy­clists has fo­cused at­ten­tion on the need for bet­ter rider train­ing. The Honda Aus­tralia Rider Train­ing Cen­tre at Somer­ton has in­ter­me­di­ate cour­ses on Sun­day, Novem­ber 21 and Fri­day, De­cem­ber 10, with an ad­vanced course on Satur­day, Novem­ber 27. Stay Up­right is hold­ing an in­ter­me­di­ate course at Hop­pers Cross­ing on Sun­day, Novem­ber 28 and an ad­vanced course at Broad­ford on Tues­day, Novem­ber 23.

Off-road cour­ses

Off-road rid­ers can lift their game by at­tend­ing the BMW Mo­tor­rads Ad­ven­ture Bike skills cour­ses at the Wer­ribee 4x4 Prov­ing Ground next week. The two-day cour­ses cost $675 and will run on Mon­day-Tues­day and Wed­nes­day-Thurs­day. Demon­stra­tion day
