ANTI-SKID brakes have been added as stan­dard across the Toy­ota Hi­Ace van range. Toy­ota has also up­graded the en­gine of the load hauler, tweak­ing out 25 per cent more power. The up­graded Hi­Ace turbo diesel now pro­duces 100kW and 300Nm of torque. Hi­Ace uses up to 7 per cent less fuel thanks to a re­vised fi­nal drive ra­tio.The of­fi­cial com­bined fuel econ­omy fig­ure comes in at 8 litres per 100km. Other changes in­clude a new front bumper, head­lights and ra­di­a­tor grille. The in­te­rior trim colour has changed from grey to dark grey and a new in­stru­ment clus­ter has been in­tro­duced. Toy­ota has also in­tro­duced an op­tional au­to­matic door closer for the Com­muter Bus ver­sion of the Hi­Ace.
