Electric fleets

Herald Sun - Motoring - - Big Wheels -

US COMPANIES such as PepsiCo, FedEx, Staples and AT&T have bought fleets of small electric trucks from start-up companies including Smith Electric Vehicles of Kansas. The trucks come with a price premium of more than $30,000 but operators believe they will save money when running costs are taken into account. Staples estimates savings will add up to $60,000 over the 10-year lifespan of the electric trucks.
