CAR BOOT SPRINGS
REGARDING boot springs on the Honda Accord 2001. There are two types, one set for when the car has a boot spoiler and one set for without. Both sets need replacing if one breaks as extra pressure is placed on the unbroken one.
Possibly the dealer didn’t ask if it had a boot spoiler as the parts catalogue lists ‘‘with or without spoiler’’. We tend to replace the springs with the ‘‘with spoiler’’ type in any case. Ross Frederickson, Robert LaneHonda
