Scooting along

GREY nomads need not stop once they get too old to hold a driver’s licence. A British company has developed a mini-caravan that can be towed by a mobility scooter. Environmental Transport Association’s QTvan has a single bed, drinks cabinet, kettle and 48cm TV. It can be optioned up with solar roof panels, air horn and extra-wide wing mirror (for mobility scooter), satellite dish, gaming console, central heating, external luggage rack and bespoke paint.

Company spokesman Yannick Read told Carsguide they would ‘‘be happy to quote for shipping to Australia’’. The carbon-neutral vans cost about $8500.
