It’s time to hit the frog’n’toad
GERMANY’S roads provide a very different driving experience to those of this country. First of all, the Federal Republic’s back tracks are superior to our freeways in terms of surface quality and signage. Second, Germans actually earn their licences through hard practice and rigorous practical tests, so they drive to an expert standard and are trusted to go safely at speeds that would horrify Australia’s alleged safety experts. But the main difference is they avoid running over toads, whereas we swerve to get the bastards.
