Biggest and best

THE 2011 Australian International Motor Show is the biggest yet— with exhibitors demanding more space in Melbourne.

This year’s event will be more than 30 per cent bigger than last year’s show in Sydney, with lastminute requests from brands including Bentley of Britain.

‘‘Our exhibitors want more space. They’re bringing more vehicles, and exciting vehicles too,’’ event director Russ Tyrie says. ‘‘The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre gives us enough room to be able to accommodate them— and to create the biggest and best show possible for visitors.’’

Hyper-cars: (top) Lamborghini’s Aventador and (above) Mazda’s Shinari will be on display at the Australian International Motor Show.
