It’s sunny yet Chile
Why do they hold solar-powered vehicle challenges in inhospitable places where cars rarely ever go? Why aren’t solar tests held on city streets? Why not a series of challenges, such as driving to work, picking up the kids from school? There was plenty of time to ponder these and other big questions for the pilot of Puerto Rico’s entry in the Atacama solar challenge, along with: Where are the doors? And how did I get roped into this? Thirty teams from seven countries competed in the 1060km, three-day event in northern Chile.
