The National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo is on at the Melbourne Showgrounds. A huge number of 4x4s, ranging from the big flashy models to the outback tourers and workhorses will be on show. The Isuzu D-Max Team is bringing the world’s steepest 4WD ramp, the Isuzu UTE Iron Summit, sitting at 45 degrees. Lucky show visitors will have the chance to go for free rides on this massive ramp. Eagers Holden Colorado is also giving show visitors the chance to practice and learn how to use their 4x4 to its maximum on a variety of surfaces to simulate being off the beaten track, including a sand trap, water crossing and compact rock segment, along with an artificial steep hill. The FE FC Holden Car Club’s annual auction and pie night, Boronia Progress Hall, 134 Boronia Rd. Items on auction include rare, interesting and useful Holden new/old stock parts, collectables and memorabilia dating from 1948 to 1978 onwards, plus stall tables full of bargains. The Maling Road Traders Association is hosting the Maling Road Auto Classica in Canterbury, with the road closed to display about 80 classic European cars, vintage Vespas and Lambretta bikes. The 2014 Motorclassicawinning classic bike and 2015 Motorclassica-winning car will be there.
