WHAT WE LIKED

Superb quality, clean design and precision engineering in the best Japanese fashion. Loaded with safety tech. Voice control that works. Comfy driver’s seat. Agile, responsive dynamics. Good fuel economy in town on regular unleaded. Big boot.

WHAT WE DIDN’T

It’s a $35,000 car with a $25,000 drivetrain. Some tyre roar still evident on country roads. Rear seat’s a bit tight. Spacesaver spare. Short warranty.
