ALFA LAPS IT UP
Alfa Romeo’s potent fourdoor sedan — the Giulia Quadrifoglio — isn’t due here until February but already more than 100 have been ordered. Put that down to its Nurburgring lap time of 7min 32sec, matching the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. It will cost about $145,000.
MONARO TO THE MAX
A 1969 Holden Monaro HT GTS 350 sold at a Shannons auction for $225,000. The original Verdoro Green Bathurst special was one of three Holdens to attract big money. A 1985 VK Commodore SS Group A went for $106,000 and a 1972 LJ Torana GTR XU-1 fetched $86,000.
