The LaFer­rari su­per­car set to lap Mt Panorama this week­end dur­ing the Bathurst 12-Hour will not have clas­sic Rosso Corsa body­work — it will be black, Nero — as it chases the road-car lap record in three timed ses­sions. Ri­vals in­clude the Mercedes-AMG GT R and Nis­san GT-R Nismo.

SPIKE IN IN­TER­EST

The miss­ing in­gre­di­ent from the funky lit­tle Citroen Cac­tus — a proper six-speed auto gear­box — will ar­rive in Aus­tralia later this year. From this month, pro­duc­tion lines in France will add a proper self-shifter to the petrol and diesel vari­ants alike.
