A flying car may light the cauldron at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Toyota reportedly invested almost $500,000 in Cartivator, a small tech company started by former employees. Toyota’s money will go towards building a fullscale prototype of the Skydrive, an F1-style singleseater designed to cruise 10m above traffic at 100km/h.
Peugeot and Citroen have switched distributors in an attempt to revive flagging sales. Inchcape, distributor of Subaru, will take the reins from Malaysian company Sime Darby Motors next month. Local Peugeot sales were down by more than 20 per cent last year and Citroen sold fewer than 1000 cars.
