AIRBAG DEFLATION

Takata, maker of millions of potentially lethal defective airbags, has filed for bankruptcy amid mounting claims for damages from car makers. Its airbags can spray shrapnel when activated and have been linked to at least 16 deaths worldwide. More than 1.4 million airbags have been recalled in Australia.
