The im­mi­nent ar­rival of the lat­est Gran Tur­ismo Sport game has spurred the McLaren su­per­car com­pany to cre­ate its vision of a GT car for 2030 and be­yond. The rad­i­cal racer is one of many concept cars in the game, which will be in shops on Oc­to­ber 17 and can be pre-or­dered for $99.95.

Holden is adding a Sport­wagon to its As­tra line-up, with pric­ing from $25,740 and au­to­matic emer­gency brak­ing as stan­dard. The me­chan­i­cal pack­age mir­rors the As­tra hatch in­clud­ing a 1.4-litre turbo petrol en­gine and the up­mar­ket LT model gets a hands-free power tail­gate and au­to­matic park­ing from $29,940 when sales start next week.


An update to the Volk­swa­gen Polo in Jan­uary means the cur­rent car is in longterm run-out with drive-away pric­ing from $16,990 for the man­ual Ur­ban and $19,490 for the auto. Volk­swa­gen has just ex­tended the deal from its planned cut-off on Septem­ber 30 and says the deal in­cludes $1500 of ex­tra value in­clud­ing al­loy wheels, leather wrap­ping for the wheel, hand­brake and shift lever and a multi-function dis­play.
