TRANSPORT and logistics king Mark Assetta is shipping off his interest in a Carlton terrace.

The property developer led the construction of Austrak’s Somerton business park, a huge 130ha rail and road hub about 20km north of the central business district.

This week’s offering is a wee bit smaller; a redeveloped terrace house in Faraday St.

Title records show Assetta holds one-third of the shares of the property’s owner, St Kilda company Tre Amici.

The house is effectively new because it has been gutted, leaving only the facade.

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open-plan living

and dining area, a north-facing rear courtyard and two basement car parks.

Mod cons include ducted heating, airconditioning and a video intercom/security system.

Kay & Burton puts it to auction today at noon and expects more than $1.1 million.
