Molloy’s moving on
HARDWORKING TV and radio comedian Mick Molloy (inset) is selling his terrace house in East Melbourne.
The classic double-storey house overlooks Darling Square in Grey St, just around the corner from Powlett Gardens.
Molloy, who has just finished a string of stand-up gigs at the Northcote Social Club, has been cohosting Channel 10’s Before the Game footy show this year.
Contrary to his on-screen persona, the house suggests an owner with discretion, good taste and a desire for privacy.
It has a bold north-facing extension off the kitchen and eating area, and more traditional living and dining rooms.
Upstairs is a main bedroom with open fireplace and a balcony, a second bedroom and a study.
Bennison Mackinnon is handling today’s auction at noon (and refused to talk about their celebrity vendor, whom we discovered through a title search).
The property is expected to fetch more than $1.6 million.
Taste and discretion: Mick Molloy’s house has a bold north-facing extension.
