There’s no place like Hume

Herald Sun - Property - - REAL ESTATE -

HALL of Fame water skier Glenn Thurlow has spent his life on the water and says he will never live far from it.

It is no surprise, then, that the first man to clear 200 feet (61.57m) on water skis built his home near Albury, on the banks of Lake Hume.

His Wirlinga house is for sale in the $3 million range through agents Pat Rice and Hawkins.

‘‘It’s really sad and we wouldn’t be selling it if we weren’t moving away from the area,’’ Mr Thurlow said.

For avid skiers, a track on the property leads down to the lake, making water access easy.

With four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two formal living areas, the house also has a spectacular entertaining area that looks out over the water and a floodlit tennis court.
