A PIECE OF PARADISE
WHEN Bob and Jean Stone were in their early 50s they spotted this magnificent elevated site with sweeping sea and coastal views at Inverloch.
They bought the 1.161ha property and built their retirement home, “Bahla Bluff”, on it in 1984. The home was designed to capture the fantastic 180 degree water views from Wilsons Prom to Eagles Nest and overlooking Andersons Inlet out to Bass Strait. The solid brick home includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, three living areas, a rooftop viewing platform and a double garage.
The couple created a beautiful native garden over the years and also put in a gravel tennis court.
Later, an inground swimming pool was added to the property’s lifestyle offerings.
The mature garden is a private haven for residents and visitors as well as a protected and bountiful habitat for many native birds. Just 5km from Inverloch, the property enjoys privacy without being secluded.
The Screw Creek nature walk provides a lovely connection to the township.
Countless visitors have been awe struck by the magnificent views enjoyed from the property, which has hosted many celebrations including weddings and birthday parties.
“Bahla Bluff” has been the family’s gathering point for 31 years but with Jean passing away recently Bob has reluctantly decided to sell his piece of paradise, listing it for auction with his son’s real estate agency.
