Touch, feel before you buy
BUYING a new apartment often requires a bit of imagination when all you’ve got to go on are blueprints or display suites.
At The Atrium apartment complex in Pascoe Vale, what you see is what you get, according to Barry Plant sales agent Tania Barravecchio.
Ms Barravecchio said the building and all its 72 apartments were now complete and buyers loved being able to touch and feel the finished product.
“Basically we have opened the whole lot up for people to look at and come and choose whichever one they want. You can view every apartment,” she said.
“It makes it a bit easier because when they look at it on the plan they think ‘OK, but this one’s not on the north, it’s on the other side and does it have this and that like the one on the plan?’ But when you actually walk them into it they can see exactly what they’re buying.”
Ms Barravecchio said 21 of the apartments at 13-15 Pascoe St had already been sold and four of the five retail spaces on the ground floor were also taken by a hair and beauty salon, a cafe and a dentist.
The remaining apartments have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with four apartments offering one bedroom, a large study and two bathrooms. Sizes range from 64sq m to 90sq m internally.
The apartments feature stone benchtops, glass splashbacks and stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen, a main bedroom with an ensuite and mirrored built-in robe, a balcony, secure intercom entry, split-system airconditioning, a car space and storage cage.
Ms Barravecchio said all buyers so far had been owner occupiers, mostly singles or couples aged 25 to 40.
They were drawn by the location, just 12km from the CBD and walking distance to Oak Park train station.
The one-bedroom plus study apartments are priced at $339,000 and the two-bedroom designs range from $370,000 to $420,000. Stamp duty savings are also still available.
