Lock it in, this Kilsyth home ticks boxes

Herald Sun - Property - - NEWS -

A DOUBLE garage was a nonnegotiable option when Nichole and Scott Declercq were looking to buy their Kilsyth home.

But the couple also wanted to be close to work, schools and a park so they could provide options for their young family.

“It was very important or us to find a place with a double lockup garage because my husband is a tradie and he’s got very expensive tools and we needed the security,” Ms Declercq said.

“When we were looking for a place, if it didn’t have a lockup garage then we didn’t waste our time looking at it.”

But Ms Declercq said they also considered amenities that would suit their children Eliza, 14, and Nate, 4.

“We were actually lucky with our house,” she said. “It was 15 minutes from work for both of us, it was five minutes from the primary school with a really good name and it was two minutes from a nice park.

“Having young children, all these things were really important to us.

“We’ve got schools, childcare, shops all within walking distance and being 15 minutes to work in the car means more time with the family.”

Nichole Declercq, with Eliza and Nate, and husband Scott bought in Kilsyth to be just 15 minutes from work.
