Resort appeal by the marina
A PATTERSON Lakes apartment development with a rooftop tennis court has already been a hit with buyers.
Half the 68 apartments for sale at Pier 1 have been snapped up in the two months since the development hit the market.
Construction is due to start on the five-level project at 107109 Mcleod Rd early next year and finish by mid-2017.
Designed by Melbourne architect John Demos and created by Cavendish Properties, the waterside building overlooking the Patterson Lakes Marina and Patterson River is intended to have a resort-style feel.
Sales consultant Michael Ivany of Castran Gilbert said it would feature a large indoor lap pool and gym on the waterfront in addition to the tennis court.
“The development is built around the idea of maximising the water views of the marina and the canal through the south side,” Mr Ivany said.
“All the apartments are light, bright and beachy to give that feeling of space and to be in line with the waterfront.”
Mr Ivany said it was initially intended to contain only twobedroom apartments, but buyer demand for larger dwellings had altered the plans.
It will now feature four three-bedroom apartments with two bathrooms, two basement car spots and about 100sq m of space each. They are priced at $635,000.
The remaining 64 apartments will have two bedrooms with one-bathroom, one-bathroom and a powder room, and two-bathroom designs to choose from. Prices range from $399,000 to $455,000.
Each apartment will be fitted with stone benchtops, airconditioning and heating, glazing to take advantage of views and a balcony or terrace.
