Tuscan-style award winner

FASHION designer Jenny Bannister is selling her awardwinning St Kilda home.

The four-bedroom Victorian residence at 80 Wellington St was named

House of the Year in 1991 and is finished in her trademark vibrant style.

Ms Bannister and husband Paul Belin bought the home in 1989 and called on architect Allan Powell to work his magic. “The way he designed this house was just sensational,” she said.

There are soaring ceilings, expansive living spaces and a vivid Tuscan vibe, plus a swimming pool. One of Bannister’s favourite aspects is the open and airy configuration around the rear courtyard.

The main bedroom suite, the sunroom and the family, kitchen and dining zone wrap around the courtyard.

Martin Fox, of Wilson Agents, is handling the March 5 auction, with price expectations of $2 million-plus.
