NORTHCOTE’S hip community vibe is captured in a new apartment development at the heart of the inner northern suburb.

Aradena, developed by KPG Property Group and designed by Metaxas Architects, features a bold and graphic facade of contrasting materials and textures that is designed to blend with the surrounding urban landscape.

“Aradena seeks to redefine modern apartment living in Northcote,” KPG Property Group director Michael Karamitos said.

“It is a place that is vibrant and eclectic, with an independent spirit that reflects the established culture of the local community. It is such a unique culture that we felt the need to really embrace it.”

The boutique project, at 470 High St, will feature 40 apartments in a choice of one, two and three-bedroom designs.

Light, bright and modern interiors will boast open-plan living spaces that flow to a balcony.

Premium features like Miele appliances, stone benchtops and timber floors will create user-friendly functionality without compromising on style.

Mr Karamitos said Aradena would take full advantage of its place in the Northcote Hill precinct, 5km from the CBD, by offering stunning views in most directions from the comfort of private balconies.

He said Northcote was one of Melbourne’s most exciting suburbs, offering food trucks to fine dining, fashionable boutiques to fresh food, parks, schools and public transport.

“Northcote has so much to offer,” he said. “There is so much to see, hear, taste and experience.

“And as a resident of Aradena, it will always be just outside your front door.”

About half the project’s apartments have been snapped up since it hit the market on October 24 last year, with young professionals from the inner north the largest buying group.

Remaining one-bedroom apartments range in size from 45-58sq m internally and are priced from $379,000 to $449,000, while two-bedroom apartments are 69-80sq m and $559,000 to $660,000.
