Striking Duet hits top notes
TWO distinct parts come together as one at a Bentleigh East apartment project.
The Duet development combines the striking five-level Laurel on the site’s corner at East Boundary and Centre roads and the three-level Mona section.
The Launch Corporation project will have 96 apartments in one, two and three-bedroom designs: 48 in Laurel and 48 in Mona.
Most apartments have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. But there are also onebedroom, one-bathroom designs and some with one bedroom, a study and one bathroom, or with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Castran Gilbert sales director Michael Lang said the project at 801 Centre Rd offered buyers plenty of options but it was the Bruce Henderson Architects design and finish that was sure to impress.
“The level of detail is exceptional, yet the affordability has remained,” Mr Lang said.
Key features include engineered timber floors, Smeg appliances, heating and cooling.
All apartments come with a balcony or terrace plus a car space. There’s also access to a communal rooftop garden designed by Papworth Davies plus a lounge area and gym.
The project’s location puts it on the doorstep of vibrant cafe, restaurant and shopping precincts, and close to public transport.
About a third of the apartments have been sold or reserved, including all the three-bedroom designs.
“It has been unbelievable,” Mr Lang said. “The high level of finish probably has a bit to do with that.”
Prices range from $375,000 to $435,000 for one-bedroom floorplans and $495,000 to $535,000 for two-bedroom designs.
The project is expected to be finished in December next year.
