A new Eon in apartments
THERE’S a new wave of apartment living on its way to the shores of Altona. And it’s set to usher in a new EON.
With CoreLogic RP Data figures showing apartments have outpaced houses for price growth in Altona in the past three years, 36.7 per cent to 31.5 per cent, Mancini Real Estate sales executive Eric Mancini said apartment living had taken on a more luxurious tone in the western bayside suburb.
Among the new up-market developments is EON Apartments at 11 Bent St.
The project’s 15 apartments are arranged around a central core. It’s a clever design feature aimed at providing every apartment with a light-filled lifestyle to match its desirable location.
Mr Mancini said the developer, Aeonic Property Group, had set a design brief of liveable spaces for architects Interlandi Design and the result was a perfect match to the bayside location.
“The benefit is that all units get plenty of natural light,” Mr Mancini said.
“And a central core keeps the building balanced. By having that core in the middle, the symmetry as far as functionality, usability and livability go, is always higher.”
All but one of the apartments contain two bedrooms, while stylish finishes will range from hardwood timber floors to Bosch appliances that accentuate open-plan living areas and balconies designed to augment each apartment’s position within the complex.
A range of light and bright interior palettes brings an idyllic, coastal lifestyle inside, while basement car parking adds security.
“The best thing about the project is its design, its finishes and obviously it’s got a secondto-none location,” Mr Mancini said.
With a Walk Score rating of 85 from a potential 100, the Bent St location puts everything from parks to Pier St shops and the beach on EON’s doorstep.
Now half sold, the apartments have proven popular with first-home buyers and downsizers.
But Mr Mancini noted investors could also be attracted to the rarity of such properties, the limited scope for similar developments in the area, and potential rental returns of up to 4.1 per cent.
Two-bedroom apartments are priced from $575,000.
The one-bedroom apartment spreads 55sq m over two levels for $492,000.
