High hopes for huge TV reno apartment
THE South Melbourne apartment that won and almost a quarter of a million dollars on is back on the market.
Selling agent Kaine Lanyon, of Marshall White, Albert Park, said the luxurious 301/142 Park St pad had barely been touched since its transformation on the reno TV show’s 2013 season.
Mr Lanyon said downsizer buyers eyeing the threebedroom, four-bathroom apartment, which occupies the entire third floor of its building, were being lured by the property’s large 230sq m floorplan, its direct lift access and sheltered alfresco terrace with stellar city views.
The apartment sold for $1.507 million at the end of the TV series, earning recent new parents Bec and George $242,000 in prizemoney. It was listed for $1.5 million-plus last November, before being taken off the market in February.
This time around, it’s scheduled to go under the hammer on June 18 with a price guide of $1.65 million.
