SHANE Warne has found a buyer for his most recent Brighton home and is set to toast Christmas at his favourite mansion just a few streets away. Warne’s French-inspired property at 11 Kinane St changed hands for more than $5.3 million in a private deal recently after being listed a few weeks ago through JP Dixon.

The latest sale caps off a big few weeks in the real estate market for the cricket champion, who is passionate about Brighton’s high-end homes. He listed the Kinane St property,

Camden, after splashing between $14$16 million to buy back his lavish former home Melville at 32-34 Middle Cres, Brighton, which he owned with ex-wife Simone from 2001 to 2007.

CoreLogic records indicate the pair paid $3.51 million for it and sold it for $8.75 million.

Now, it is understood Warne will move back into the six-bedroom 3014sq m estate, which features a tennis court and pool, about Christmas time.

JP Dixon director Jonathan Dixon sold both properties and wished Warne all the best as he moved back to his old pad.

“It’s a lovely home so I’m happy for him,” he said.

Mr Dixon said the Kinane St property’s buyers were impressed by the updates Warne had made during his time there. “He’s pretty clever. He’s smartened it all up,” he said.

“It’s low-maintenance with goodsized rooms, it’s north-facing and a stone’s throw to the beach.”

The house features a large main bedroom suite, self-cleaning heated pool, putting green, inground trampoline and basement garage.

Records show the four-bedroom residence was last sold for $3.95 million in February 2014.

Mr Dixon said a local buyer had bought the property ahead of two other interested parties.
