WIPPA studied building management at TAFE in Melbourne before deciding his vocation was in commercial radio. After putting a demo tape together, he secured a gig on country radio in Adelaide and was eventually picked up by Nova, where he worked on breakfast radio in Perth.

His big break came when he moved back to Melbourne and joined Nova’s national drive show.

He has since moved to Sydney where, alongside Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald, he hosts morning breakfast on Nova 96.9 in Sydney. Melburnians can hear the show weekdays on Nova from 6pm to 7pm.

Wippa lives in Sydney’s eastern suburbs with his wife, Lisa, and their two children, Teddy, 20 months, and 15-week-old Jack (pictured right).

If we sleep until 6am then that is considered a sleepin. Then it is a huge effort to get everyone organised with their sippy cups and blankets just to do a lap of the park.
