ROCK star glam is the look those behind a luxury South Yarra apartment tower have gone for. And they’ve pulled it off in style. A gold spiral staircase and soaring ceilings set the scene in the spectacular lobby of the $80 million, 19-storey Claremont Manor tower. If first impressions aren’t enough, the development also boasts five-star hotel style communal facilities, including a lap pool, gym and residents’ club with lounge, function and theatre rooms. There’s also a restaurant and independent grocer at the foot of the building, which is nearing completion at 3-7 Claremont St. The Poly Southlink project, designed by award-winning Bird de la Coeur Architects, features 285 apartments in a mix of one-, two-, three- and fourbedroom designs, plus five office suites and three retail spaces.
The latest apartment release, known as the Created Collection, offers 35 fully furnished apartments, which will be ready for buyers to move into next month.
There will be 18 one-bedroom designs measuring 40sq m and 17 twobedroom designs of 81sq m in size. Additional outdoor spaces range from 5sq m to 57sq m.
Floor-to-ceiling windows, large living areas, galley-style kitchens with adjacent meals areas and a monochrome interior colour palette to match the exterior of the building are among the apartment highlights.
Bird de la Coeur director Neil de la Coeur said the focus was on creating a complete lifestyle for residents.
“Making the building a city within a city was a challenge, having a supermarket, restaurant, media lounge and five-star recreational facilities in addition to the apartments,” he said.
“We were able to create a design that allowed all the elements to be successfully integrated and ‘speaking’ to each other, and we are delighted with the result.”
Claremont Manor is less than 150m from South Yarra train station, 200m from Toorak Rd trams and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, bars and shops,
Poly Southlink managing director Yuan Tao said great value was another attraction.
“It has the appeal of being the best value for apartments in South Yarra and there is no waiting — owners can move in before Christmas and be part of the action,” Mr Yuan said.
Created Collection prices range from $384,000 to $418,00 for onebedroom apartments and $850,000 to $886,000 for two-bedroom designs.
