THE wheelchair athlete and motivational speaker has this month been named Australia’s Paralympian of the Year after winning two gold medals for wheelchair tennis at the Rio Paralympics. A three-time Paralympian, he also claimed gold in 2008 in Beijing — that time for wheelchair basketball.
The 25-year-old lives in Balaclava with girlfriend Kate Lawrance. He is an ambassador for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, including for its Pin & Win campaign during the Melbourne Cup Carnival (visit starlight.org.au).
