THE radio anchor for Nova 100’s breakfast show grew up in country WA. He got his start in radio on mining station Red FM and later worked for Nova in Perth. In 2011, he moved to Melbourne to host late nights nationally on the Nova Network before being offered his current gig.
The 31-year-old, known as “Deano”, has been on a health kick, losing about 30kg in the past year.
“I have lost this huge amount of weight in the past, but this time it is more of a lifestyle thing that I want to maintain,” he said.
He lives in Carlton with a flatmate.
During the week I am up at 4am so on the weekends I try and sleep in until about 11am. I roll out of bed and it’s off to brunch with my friends. Most of them are Perth expats, so we get the quiz texted to us from the local Perth paper and we all do the quiz over brunch.
