HOSPITAL’S ON A GOOD THING
The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal begins on Friday at 9.30am.
The appeal, founded by The Herald and Weekly Times in 1931, has raised more than $140 million over the years. Last year, Victorians donated a record $11,788,970.87.
This year’s telecast will feature Seven’s favourite faces, including Good Friday Appeal patron Jennifer Keyte. More than 500 volunteers manage the phone lines in the tally room. The phones will be open from 9.30am to midnight.
Sandy Roberts will host the morning session, crossing regularly to the hospital, the tally room and Telstra Dome. Andrew O’Keefe and Grant Denyer will present the afternoon session.
The evening telecast will include performances by Vanessa Amorosi, Anthony Callea, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Mahalia Barnes and Kate Alexa.
